Have you ever accomplished something great, only to feel like you didn’t truly deserve it? Maybe you’ve been praised for your skills, but deep down, you wonder if you’re just lucky—or if others will one day discover that you’re not as capable as they think. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Self-doubt and imposter syndrome are more common than you think, even among high achievers.
Miriam was one of those people. She had built a successful career, but deep down, she constantly felt like a fraud. Despite her achievements, she constantly feared being "found out." Every time she received praise, she dismissed it, thinking, “I just got lucky.” This inner critic kept her from fully embracing her success and stepping into her calling with confidence.
Understanding Imposter Syndrome:
Imposter syndrome makes you believe that you are not as competent as others perceive you to be. It leads to:
Chronic self-doubt
Fear of being exposed as "not good enough"
Overworking to "prove" your worth
Through our coaching sessions, Miriam learned that self-doubt is a liar. It keeps you small, but God has called you to greater things.
Faith-Based Strategies to Overcome Self-Doubt:
1. Recognize the Lies: "I don’t deserve this" → Replace with "I am equipped for every good work."
2. Keep a ‘Wins’ Journal: Record every success, big or small, as a reminder of your progress.
3. Step into Your Authority: You have been placed where you are for a reason. Own it!
Final Thoughts:
If you’ve been wrestling with imposter syndrome, it’s time to let go. God has already affirmed you. You are not a fraud—you are chosen, equipped, and called.
