WHY YOU SHOULD NOT MARRY

Listen to my new episode on Why you should not marry.
This episode will highlight the wrong reasons why people enter into a marriage and what to do instead.

PERSONAL PRESSURE

Personal pressure stems from the fear and worries that you may never marry because you are looking at the time and especially for a woman with biological clock ticking. I call it internal agitation, or unrest.

Anyhow, there are solutions to personal pressure.

1. HAVE A GOD-CENTERED HEART.

Have a consistent and consecrated prayer life.

“Listen to my testimony: I cried to God in my distress and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears!”

Psalm34:4

“Whom have I in heaven but you? You’re all I want! No one on earth means as much to me as you. Lord, so many times I fail; I fall into disgrace. But when I trust in you, I have a strong and glorious presence protecting and anointing me. Forever you’re all I need!”

Psalm 73:25 -26

2. FOCUS ON THE TRUTH

So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always. Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you and the God of peace will be with you in all things.

Philippians 4:8 – 9

3. KNOW THAT GOD SEES YOU

The Lord looks over us from where he rules in heaven. Gazing into every heart from his lofty dwelling place, he observes all the peoples of the earth. The Creator of our hearts considers and examines everything we do. The eyes of the Lord are upon even the weakest worshipers who love him— those who wait in hope and expectation for the strong, steady love of God. God will deliver them from death, even the certain death of famine, with no one to help.
Psalm 33: 13 -15, 18 -19

4. REJOICE WITH THOSE WHO ARE REJOICING

Celebrate with those who celebrate.

Romans 12:15

5. REMEMBER GOD HAS A GOOD PLAN FOR YOU

I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.

Jeremiah 29:11

HAVE A HOPE FOR THE FUTURE.

6. TRUST GOD’S TIMING

The time for making love and the time for not making love, the time for kissing and the time for not kissing.
He has set the right time for everything. He has given us a desire to know the future, but never gives us the satisfaction of fully understanding what he does.

Ecclesiastes 3:5,11

And He changes the times and the seasons;

Daniel 2:21

7.BE SENSITIVE AND RESPONSIVE TO YOUR TIMING

You will arise and have mercy and loving-kindness for Zion, for it is time to have pity and compassion for her; yes, the set time has come [the moment designated].

Psalm 102:13

8. TRUST GOD WITH YOUR FUTURE

Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go.

Proverbs 3:5 -6

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord . “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

Isaiah 55:8 -11

9. LOVE OTHERS WITHOUT ANY ULTERIOR MOTIVES.

A real love for others will chase those worries away. The thought of being punished is what makes us afraid. It shows we have not really learned to love.

1 John 4:18

10. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF TECHNOLOGY

If you’re worried about the inability to have a child in the future, you can freeze your eggs for later use.
