PROMISE KEEPER!

Damola Treasure Okenla

“My word is like the snow and the rain
that come down from the sky to water the earth.
They make the crops grow
and provide seed for planting and food to eat.
So also will be the word that I speak—
    it will not fail to do what I plan for it;
it will do everything I send it to do.”

Isaiah 55:10-11

For you to rely on a PROMISE, you have to consider the integrity of the person who gives the guarantee.  If it is a mere mortal, you may not put complete trust to it, but if it is God, you are sure it will not fail.

” When we make a vow, we use the name of someone greater than ourselves, and the vow settles all arguments.  To those who were to receive what he promised, God wanted to make it very clear that he would never change his purpose; so he added his vow to the promise.  There are these two things, then, that cannot change and about which God cannot lie. So we who have found safety with him are greatly encouraged to hold firmly to the hope placed before us.  We have this hope as an anchor for our lives. It is safe and sure and goes through the curtain of the heavenly temple into the inner sanctuary. “

Hebrews 6:16-19

Have you receive a Word from God that seems to drag, and it is making you doubt God or are you about to give up on the vision, dream, r prophecy? I can understand your plight and feelings. I have been there many times and you are justified. Did the Bible not say

“When hope’s dream seems to drag on and on,
the delay can be depressing.
But when at last your dream comes true,
life’s sweetness will satisfy your soul.”

Proverbs 13:12

Let me just say to you as I always tell myself, don’t focus on the moment or you will get stuck on the pain, or the hopelessness of the situation. What that will do is to blindfold your eyes to see the light at the end of the tunnel. If Joseph, had concentrated his attention on his present predicament without regard to his future there was no way he would have helped the butler or have had that conversation with him. It was the Butler who eventually connected him to Pharaoh and his dream came to pass. (Genesis 40:14; 41:14)

Do not be distracted by the present pain to lose the sight of your incredible future. It is temporary!

“Now when God made a promise to Abraham since there was no one greater than himself, he swore an oath on his own integrity[a] to keep the promise as sure as God exists!  So he said,
“Have no doubt, I promise to bless you over and over,
and give you a son and multiply you without measure!”
So Abraham waited patiently in faith and succeeded in seeing the promise fulfilled.”

Hebrews 6:13 -15
God is faithful to His promise. If it is from God; It shall come to pass!

It is reported that despite all odds Abraham waited and he finally received that which was promised. All odds played against Joseph also but it happened for him at last and so shall it be for you and I, in Jesus’ name. (Amen)

“Against all odds, when it looked hopeless, Abraham believed the promise and expected God to fulfill it. He took God at his word, and as a result, he became the father of many nations. God’s declaration over him came to pass: “Your descendants will be so many that they will be impossible to count!”  In spite of being nearly one hundred years old when the promise of having a son was made, his faith was so strong that it could not be undermined by the fact that he and Sarah were incapable of conceiving a child.   He never stopped believing God’s promise, for he was made strong in his faith to father a child. And because he was mighty in faith and convinced that God had all the power needed to fulfill his promises, Abraham glorified God! “

Romans 4:18 -21

Is everything going contrary to your promise? Trust God; He is undoubtedly working all things together for your good. Remind yourself; the current situation is temporary, an incredible future is waiting for me like Joseph seems to be saying when he was talking to that Butler.

Hold on to your promise; it shall come to pass.

Don’t get stuck in the rut of hopelessness; You can FAST TRACK YOUR FRESH START WITH PRAYER

In conclusion, I want to leave with this word on a marble

“No matter what has happened to you in the past or what is going on in your life right now, it has no power to keep you from having an amazingly good future if you will walk by faith in God. God loves you! He wants you to live with victory over sin so you can possess His promises for your life today! ”
